Applied Technology
Impeller Seizure Prevention and Diagnostic System (New Excellent Technology (NET) for Disaster-Safety)
Conventional submersible pumps left idle for extended periods are vulnerable to impeller seizure caused by sludge buildup and to solidification of bearing grease, potentially leaving them inoperable during an emergency. SM Industry developed the “Submersible Pump with Auxiliary Motor” to solve these issues.
- Always Ready: Periodic low-speed operation of the auxiliary motor prevents foreign-object jamming and component solidification
- Condition Monitoring: A dedicated auxiliary motor control panel diagnoses impeller seizure and enables efficient, integrated management of multiple pumping stations
- Reduced Maintenance Costs: Preventing critical failures such as motor burnout reduces maintenance costs by approximately 20% or more compared with conventional products
- Excellent Site Compatibility: The patented technology is built into the pump, allowing installation by the same method without changes to existing pumping station designs
- Low-Power, High-Efficiency Operation: The auxiliary motor and impeller can operate with only a low-power DC 12 V or AC 220 V supply
